Photography Workshops

Let’s be honest — your camera can do way more than it’s currently doing.

My photography workshops are all about keeping things simple, fun, and completely stress-free. No confusing jargon, no pressure — just real, hands-on learning in beautiful outdoor locations.

You’ll learn how to actually understand your camera (yes, really), spot amazing photo opportunities, and start taking photos you’ll be proud to show off.

Expect laughs, fresh air, and plenty of “ohhhh that’s how you do it!” moments.

Come as you are — beginner, hobbyist, or someone who just loves being outdoors — and leave with new skills, new confidence, and probably a full camera roll.

🌿 Mindful Wildlife Photography

Wildlife photography isn’t just about capturing an image — it’s about experiencing the moment.

In my workshops, I gently introduce mindfulness techniques to help you slow down, connect with your surroundings, and truly see the natural world. Whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced, this approach helps you develop not only your photography skills, but also a deeper appreciation for nature.

Instead of rushing from shot to shot, you’ll learn how to pause, observe, and anticipate. We’ll take time to notice light, movement, sound, and behaviour — allowing you to capture more meaningful and natural images.

You’ll be guided through simple, relaxed exercises such as:

  • Slowing down and observing before shooting
  • Focusing on one subject to understand its behaviour
  • Using breathing techniques to steady your camera and mind
  • Quiet moments to fully immerse yourself in the environment

This isn’t about complicated techniques or pressure to get the “perfect” shot. It’s about enjoying the process, building confidence, and reconnecting with nature through your lens.

By the end of the session, you won’t just leave with beautiful photographs — you’ll leave feeling calmer, more present, and inspired.

A big thank you to Kerry for her expertise and knowledge in helping me get to grips with my camera. She showed me how the different settings work so now i can take better pictures. Kerrys own photos are outstanding.

I have to say that Kerry has the patience of a saint, and is a great teacher! I only have a bridge camera, so went along not expecting to be able to do much with it, but Kerry even had me photographing birds in flight by the end of the morning.

Instead of getting home like I normally do, with very few photo in focus, she showed me how to change the shutter speed and which settings to use to help the camera understand what I wanted it to focus on. Thank you so much Kerry!

Thank you so much, Kerry! You’re a fab teacher! I already feel I can get more out of my canon powershot and will definitely push more now to see what it can do.

I have wanted to move forward with my photography ( primarily wildlife) for some time but struggled to apply the basics of iso/shutter/aperture, and was using mostly auto settings. I was just not getting the results I wanted. After one session with Kerry, I have already moved forward with using ( and understanding) manual exposure , and am getting more imaginative with the pictures I am taking. Kerry is very patient and I really enjoyed our tutorial , and will be back!
